Summary: Located on the Beasly Hills North East of Quincy. Gentle uniform sloping site on south facing slope.
2001: Planted 12 acres of White Riesling and 8 acres of Gewurztraminer
2002: Planted additional 20 acres of White Riesling
2005: Planted 1 acre of Syrah and 5 acres of White Riesling
2006: Planted 15 acres of Pinot Gris and 20 acres of White Riesling
2007: Planted 35 acres of Pinot Gris and 20 acres of Pinot Noir
Total acres planted as of 2007: 136 acres
VINEYARD DETAILS:
Elevation: 1500 feet
Soil : Shallow Silt Loam soil 6-18” deep over a Caliche Hardpan.
Climate : Desert conditions, but fewer heat units due to elevation and Northern location.
Rootstock: all vines are own-rooted
Irrigation: Drip irrigation, water source is well
Vine Crop Management: Vines are planted 5 feet apart with 7 foot rows. Training system is a bilateral cordon with Vertical shoot positioning system.
