2009 WASHINGTON WINE AWARDS

Voted the Best Cabernet Sauvignon Under $20: Jones of Washington 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Wahluke Slope

Jones of Washington Wines earned two Gold Medals at the 2009 San Diego International Wine Competition held March 21-22, 2009:

➢    Gold 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Jack's Reserve, Wahluke Slope
➢    Gold 2006 Syrah, Wahluke Slope

More than 30 wine professionals evaluated thousands of wines.  The competition is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine competitions in the United States.

135 acres of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are planted on Two Gun Vineyard.

Jones vineyards plants 145 more acres on the Wahluke Slope. Varieties include Marsaun, Censault, Petite Verdot, Grenache, Malbec, Roussan, and Mouvedra. (2007)
